Cameron Olges won Gold at the Hampshire Open championships. Mitchel Kayne won
Bronze and Ben Cummings took a 5th place. Well done, great results.

LONDON YOUTH GAMES
Several Westcroft players represented the London Borough of Sutton at the London
Youth Games at Crystal Palace.
The event was open to orange belt or higher juniors who live or attend school in
Sutton and who passed the LYG trials. In order to promote the event as a sports
development activity, two age-bands were introduced and World Class Start
players were not allowed to compete.
Gemma Dickenson, Maria Nicholae-Duvas, Sarah Mason and Hannah Tiernan all won
silver medals for the girls’ team. Hannah fought in a combined weight group
which resulted in her being undefeated in the eunder 63 kg group.
Francis de Lima and Jake Mulley won silver medals for the boys’ team, with Jake
being one of the youngest competitors at the event.
Bronze medals were won by Callum Curtis, Jack Beckwith and Nicky Fowler. Ben
Cummings took 5th place.
The girls’ team finished in 7th place overall and the boys team came in at 5th
place.

NHC Team Championships (High Wycombe)
Westcroft fielded two teams at this event, with both teams finishing in 3rd
place. Each team consisted of 8 boys and girls, including one “joker”. The
jokers were younger brothers and sisters of team members, and were allowed to
throw their opponent with maximum score.
Taking part were Finlay Cuffe; Luke, Jake and Jordan Mulley; Sam Bennet, Emily
and Stuart Ford; Steven and Zoe Stafford; Katie Langford; Sean Martell; Ayban
and Bengune Mertdag; Ellie Johncey; Maria Nicholae-Duvas; Fenner Clark; and Jamal
and Sam Petgrave.

Westcroft once again Travel to Marcinelle In Belgium and
this time win 1st place
3 Full Coaches transported
over 75 competitors along with their parents
(over 150 people in all) travelled on the Friday evening to an overnight hotel
near the venue for the
International Tournament in Marcinelle. A full report will follow shortly but
feast your eyes on the top image and the cup

Ford Open
26 junior players took part is this popular, high standard event.
Gold medals were won by Jessica O’Neil, Christian Milotte and Elizabeth
Isaacs. Jessica also won a competition organizers’ special trophy for sporting
achievement.
Bronze medals were won by Katie Langford, Ellie Johncey, Alex Peel,
Rachel Mason, Robert Fleming and Mathew Sexton. Jake Mulley and Ayben Mertdag
finished in 5th place.
Taking part were Sean Martell, Jack Beckwith, Ben and Alex Cummings, Charlie
Clark, Ffion McManus, Sarah Mason, Brett Milotte, Hannah Tiernan, Emily and
Stuart Ford , Nicky and Joey Fowler.
