It's on again..! 23rd May 2009..!

Westcroft once again Travel to Marcinelle In Belgium and this time win 1st  place

In 2007 the Club took 3 Full Coaches transported over 75 competitors  along with their parents (over 150 people in all) to the International Tournament in Marcinelle. Last year the Club took another contingent to once again win the Marcinelle Club Cup. If any Club can win the "Marcinelle Club Cup" three times in succession, they will be awarded the coveted "Marcinelle Miners Lamp Trophy" to keep. 2 down, one to go..!  


The organisers have confirmed the date of the tournament as 23 May 2009. This is the bank holiday weekend which is the beginning of mid-term break.

The club has the rare opportunity of lifting the “Miners Lamp” trophy if we are top club for the third year running. We can only achieve this if players participate – any player born in 1997 – 2000 can safely enter. Players born 1996 – 1993 need to be at least green belt.
Costs are expected to be £55 per seat on coach and £50 per room. Saturday breakfast is circa £5. We are seeking sponsorship to reduce the cost of the coach fare.
